Unusual Radial Cloud Pattern
This image was taken from my home in Cheshire, England, about 40 minutes after sunset on 28 October 2019.
The sun would have been 6º below the horizon, marking the end of civil twilight.
The clouds appear to be radiating from the point of sunset, though this is almost certainly an illusion. As to the type of cloud, I am not an expert! – but a little research suggests they could be Actinoform clouds, though these are typically very large and are usually seen from satellites in orbit rather than from the ground. Any nephologists out there? Comments welcome.
One thing for sure, they provided a breathtaking view for about 20 minutes that evening.

Great content! Super high-quality! Keep it up! 🙂
Hey very interesting blog!
Good day! This is my first visit to your blog!

us valuable information to work on. You have done a outstanding job!
Great looking web site. Think you did a lot of your own html coding.
Funny you should say that, because for the first version of my site, it was true. But with the flexibility of the toolsets that comes these days with some of the WordPress themes, it’s just too quick and easy to create websites like this. And whereas I would have had to specifically code for PCs, tablets and phones, it’s all done automatically with these modern themes. Thanks for the comment though!
Particularly insightful….look forwards to coming back again.
